“Dancing is like dreaming with open eyes. And the studying MFA (Dance) programme at HKAPA has made my dream come true. In August 2017, I will join the famed Nacho Duarto’s StaatsBallett Berlin Company to bring my career to new heights.”
A little more about Jane:
Jane was born and raised in Zhejiang China and studied Chinese Traditional Opera and Ballet since her age 7. She was a dancer of Guangzhou Ballet from 2006-2007, and joined Hong Kong Ballet from 2008-2014. During this time, she starred in many classical repertories, including Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Nutcracker, Flower Festival, Cinderella, Coppelia, The Rite of Spring, Turandot and others. In July 2016, she joined The House of Dancing Water in Macau, and served as the principle role “The princess”. She is presently completing her Master of Fine Arts (Dance) at the Hong Kong Academy For Performing Arts. Jane has successfully auditioned for Nacho Duarto’s StaatsBallett Berlin and will begin her contract in August 2017.
