For people who know Lee Ming-hay, it should come as no surprise that he would decide to return home to Hong Kong from Berlin by bike. His seven-month journey took him though eight countries: Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Kazakhstan and China and made him an instant celebrity as his story was widely published in the local media. At just 33, he has acquired a certain perceptiveness far beyond his years, his zest for life, independence and compassion immediately palpable.
