Dr Ricky Ng has 24 years of tertiary teaching, training and management experience at various universities and higher education institutions in Hong Kong. A veteran of learning and teaching, programme development, quality assurance and enhancement, he was the principal investigator of the HKD$21 million government-funded Quality Enhancement Support Scheme (QESS) cross-institutional E-Learning project and the subject leader of various learning and teaching strategic initiatives in one of Hong Kong’s largest vocational training institutes.
With research interests in pedagogies in vocational and professional education and training (VPET), technology-enhanced learning, staff development in higher education institutions and organisational studies, he has published over 70 papers in Europe and Asia’s international conferences, journals and books. Dr Ng is also a trained artist with profound knowledge in visual arts, performing arts, jazz music, film and literature.
Dr Ng holds a PhD and GradDip from University of South Australia, a MFA from Pratt Institute, New York, U.S.A, a MEd from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, a MA from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a BA from Chu Hai College, Hong Kong. He is also a Certified Trainer of International Project Management Professional (IPMP), a National Enterprise Human Resources Manager (NVQ1), a National Enterprise Trainer (NVQ2) and Full Member of the Hong Kong Management Association and the Hong Kong Designer Association.
