Jessinta LIU began her film career at the Shaw Brothers Studios in the early 1990's. Her first film as Associate Producer, "MAYBE IT'S LOVE' (directed by Angie CHAN), earned her the trust of fellow film- makers at Shaw, including Ann HUI, for whom she would go on to produce five films, including "LOVE IN A FALLEN CITY", "THE ROMANCE OF BOOK AND SWORD", "PRINCESS FRAGRANCE", "STARRY IS THE NIGHT", and "SONG OF THE EXILE".
After leaving Shaw Studios, Ms. Liu continued her work with such critically acclaimed directors as Wayne WANG (for whom she produced three films, including "THE JOY LUCK CLUB" and "CHINESE BOX"), YIM Ho (for whom she produced "RED DUST"), and Andrew LAU (for whom she produced "THE STORM RIDERS", "SAUSALITO", among others). She also worked with well-known foreign directors such as Peter Greenaway ("THE PILLOW BOOK") and Marion Hansel ("BETWEEN THE DEVIL AND THE DEEP BLUE SEA").
Between 1996 and 2002, Ms. Liu joined Golden Harvest and later BOB and Partners as Executive Producer and Executive Producer/General Manager, respectively. Since then she has set up her own production company, Greenlight Pictures, to provide production services for local and overseas productions.
